
Summer Camps and Paddling Programs
The Balmy Beach Canoe Club offers summer camp programs for kids and youth who love being active and spending time by the water. From our Youth Sprint paddling program to our full-day multi-sport Sports Camp, our summer programs support confidence, teamwork, and fun in a welcoming club environment.

Youth Sprint
Ages 8-14
June 29 - August 21, 2026

Full Summer and Weekly
The Youth Sprint Program, formerly Canoe Kids, is a half-day summer paddling program for athletes aged 8–14 who want to learn sprint canoe and kayak in a supportive, team-focused club environment. Athletes build paddling skills, confidence, and teamwork while training alongside experienced coaches and athletes.

Participants learn the fundamentals of sprint paddling in both individual and team boats, with opportunities to experience racing throughout the summer. Youth Sprint is ideal for athletes looking to stay active, try a new sport, and grow within a structured sport program.

Sports Camp
Ages 8-14

Sports Camp is a full-day, multi-sport summer camp for children aged 8–14 who love being active, social, and outdoors. Campers take part in a wide range of activities, including paddling, swimming, biking, field games, and classic camp activities, all in a fun and supportive environment.

With an emphasis on movement, teamwork, and friendship, Sports Camp offers a true summer camp experience that balances structured activities with free play and exploration. It’s a great option for campers who enjoy variety, trying new activities, and spending their summer days by the water.

Sports Camp Counsellor in Training
Ages 14-17

Weekly
The Sports Camp Counsellor in Training (CIT) program is a volunteer leadership opportunity for youth aged 14–17 who want to gain hands-on experience working with children in an active summer camp environment. CITs support camp staff, help lead games and activities, and act as positive role models for younger campers.

Through daily involvement in camp programming, CITs develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while contributing to a fun, supportive, and energetic camp experience.
REFUND POLICY:
If our camps have to be cancelled by directive from any level of government, a full refund will be issued. If you choose to cancel your previously booked week(s) a 10% administration fee will be deducted from your refund.
