Meet Laura Pett
Sports Camp Director

Hello! My name is Laura, and I am beyond excited to be the Camp Director for the summer of 2024! This is my 3rd year at Balmy Beach as a camp counsellor, and 8th year being a counsellor in general. I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Education with an Honours in Psychology. As Camp Director, my main goals are to create a safe, fun, and enriching experience for campers. Ensuring that we provide opportunities for campers to learn new sports skills, improve existing ones, and develop teamwork and sportsmanship. Our camp strives to create an inclusive environment where all campers feel welcome and valued.

During the summer, you’ll often find me on the volleyball courts playing with friends or working  at the Ashbridge’s Bay Adult Volleyball League. But come winter, my playground shifts to the mountains of British Columbia, where I ride my snowboard from sunrise to sunset! Working at Balmy Beach for the past two summers has been the best experience, from meeting lifelong friends to all the great campers! I am so grateful to be doing another year at this amazing camp! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the email
